Mesotherapy, to date, is considered by the scientific community as neither a type of complementary medicine, nor some kind of alternative medicine. In fact, this term refers to the application of a medicament using intradermal or subcutaneous injections. This technique is mainly used in areas stricken and affected by hair loss.
The therapy is used to stop the loss of hair which is still present, improving their quality and activating new growth. Through the use of special needles, a specific type of dressing is applied only in the affected skin regions.
Under certain circumstances, mesotherapy can be applied to the whole scalp, as it is a superior method compared to other conventional medicinal therapies, as it involves the use of small doses of product, causing irrelevant, or rather ludicrous, side effects.
